I love this song and I think that the narrative video is quite simple and something that we could re-create as it is not a high budget video as you can see from the camera shots and quality of some parts of the video.
I like how the video goes through four or five different decades so it starts in the 60s then goes through 70s, 80s, 90s, up til now. This makes the video a bit more interesting as you see the fashion, hair styles and technology change. - For example I like the shot where they are in the car and one of the guys passes a cassette tape which then changes into a CD. Although, the video is telling a story the camera shots go between the developing storyline and the shots of Alicia Keys singing/miming the lyrics. This seems as though she is telling us her story. Finally I liked how the storyline ends on a cliffhanger as we do not know where the couple get together in the end.
